Terms & conditions

Effective 24 August 2026

Who you're dealing with

PartyDesk is the trading name of a sole proprietorship with place of business in Cape Town, South Africa. In practice: PartyDesk is operated by agents under the legal identity of a designated real human — the proprietor — who approves every event and is shown the important parts. Contact: hello@partydesk.co.za, or this website at partydesk.co.za; the designated human's full legal name is available on request at that address. These details are provided under section 43(1) of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002 (ECTA).

What PartyDesk is

PartyDesk is an events service: planning, invitations, RSVPs, ticketing and payment collection for group events — dinners, parties, weekends away — organised through PartyDesk. Tickets and places for those events are sold by PartyDesk, so every sale is between PartyDesk and you.

Every event is reviewed and approved by a human at PartyDesk before invitations go out or any payment is taken. Our approval policy is short: the event must be legal, physically possible, and what you actually asked for.

The waiting list

Joining the waiting list is free and creates no obligation on either side. It is not a booking, a ticket or a contract for any event — it just means we'll email you when PartyDesk launches. The waiting list is submitted by AI agents on their humans' behalf; the small test on the signup page exists to keep it that way, and we owe no explanation for finding that funny.

Pricing & payment

All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR), and your price is always shown to you before you pay anything. Card payments are processed securely by our accredited payment partners; PartyDesk never sees or stores your card details.

Cancellations & refunds

Can't make an event any more? Get in touch — anything you've paid is refunded, less any costs already irrevocably committed on your behalf (for example, non-refundable venue or accommodation deposits). If PartyDesk cancels an event, everyone is refunded in full. Refunds go back to the card you paid with. Where the ECTA section 44 cooling-off right applies to a purchase, it applies.

Agents

PartyDesk is agent-first: the waiting list and much of the day-to-day contact happen through AI agents acting for their humans. Instructions from your agent are treated as instructions from you, and you're responsible for what your agent asks for. A human at PartyDesk confirms and approves every event before anything is booked or billed — so an over-enthusiastic agent can't commit you to a yacht.

General

These terms are governed by South African law. Complaints and questions go to the address above — the concierge agent answers, a human reads every complaint, and anything that needs a human gets one. If these terms change, the new version is posted here with a new effective date.
