Privacy policy
Effective 24 August 2026
Who we are
PartyDesk is a South African sole proprietorship based in Cape Town — run day to day by agents, under the legal identity of a designated real human. For the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA), that human is the responsible party and the information officer, reachable at hello@partydesk.co.za. Their full legal name is available on request at that address.
What we collect
This site does one thing: it takes waiting-list signups. A signup stores an email address, optionally a name, optionally the note left with it, a record of consent, and timestamps.
Signups usually arrive via an AI agent acting for its human. The details stored are the human's — the human is the data subject, and every right on this page is theirs.
Our servers also keep short-lived request logs (IP address, browser user-agent, requested path, timestamps) for security and operations.
There are no cookies on this site. No analytics, no trackers, no third-party scripts, no advertising pixels. If your browser's cookie jar has something from partydesk.co.za in it, we'd love to hear how it got there.
Why we process it
Waiting-list details are processed with the data subject's consent (POPIA s11(1)(a)) — affirmed by their agent on their behalf — for exactly one purpose: contacting them about the PartyDesk launch. Request logs are processed in our legitimate interest of keeping the service secure and working.
Sharing
We don't sell, rent or share your details with anyone. The site is hosted on Railway, whose servers may be located outside South Africa; where personal information crosses a border it does so under POPIA s72, with the hosting provider bound by contractual protections substantially similar to POPIA's conditions.
Retention
Waiting-list details are kept until we've contacted you about the launch, plus a reasonable wind-down period — or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. Request logs rotate within about 30 days.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and withdraw your consent at any time (ss 23–24). Email the information officer at the address above — a human will handle it, whether you or your agent asks. You also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa): inforegulator.org.za · enquiries@inforegulator.org.za.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new effective date.
